Product development
STG products are based on innovative applications of proven technologies and offer cost effective solutions for safety critical applications in the aerospace sector.
We pioneered the use of photoluminescence as a means of way-guidance in aircraft; and we have developed recently de-classified spread-spectrum technology to create a uniqiue proprietary wireless protocol - Secure Control - that is used in STG wireless development programmes
STG Aerospace pursues a policy of continuous improvement to enhance product design and the performace of materials in design.
Patents and intellectual property
Research and development is hugely expensive. In order to maintain such investment and ensure our customers benefit from our innovation we have to deter copying of our ideas. Our products are protected by comprehensive patent awards and we retain one of the UK's foremost patent companies to protect our intellectual property.
Certification
We pursue a policy of US FAA approval and certification for all our products. These approvals are then used as substantiation for other worldwide approvals.All STG Aerospace FAA STCs for SafTGlo, covering over 65 aircraft types, have reciprocal approval from EASA and most other authorities worldwide. This policy helps our customers by having 'ready to fit' product and removing the need for expensive local certification programmes.

STG Aerospace complies with the latest Quality Management System Standards:
- BS EN ISO 9001:2000 (the latest version of the ISO 9000 standard)
- AS9100 Rev.B:2004 (the aerospace industry standard)
STG Aerospace is also an approved EASA POA and FAA PMA.
STG Aerospace is Boeing QMS approved.
