Thomas Cook Airlines faced a number of issues with its electrical floorpath marking systems that required a costly maintenance regime to minimise failures. In addition, a large element of its quarterly aisle carpet replacement routine was made up by costly carpet cutting, fitting and binding procedures, which often result in significant carpet wastage. Following an extensive product demonstration and trial, Thomas Cook placed a major order for STG’s ColorMatch OC. The UK-based charter airline is in a two year retrofit programme for ColorMatch OC across its fleet of Airbus A330 and Boeing 757 aircraft 

 

ColorMatch OC is designed to dramatically reduce through-life costs for operators. Its unique ‘HingedWing®’ extension hides, protects and grips carpet edges, eliminating the costs of carpet edge binding. Thomas Cook’s marketing team also placed a high value on the way the entire system met the brand’s colour scheme and could be discreetly and unobtrusively integrated into the cabin interior.
