// Monarch Airlines chooses safTGlo //

STG Aerospace has received a fleet-wide order of its market-leading SafTGlo™ photoluminescent (PL) floorpath marking system from Monarch Airlines.
The scheduled leisure airline, based at London Luton Airport in the UK, has ordered SafTGlo ColorMatch OC for its 30-strong fleet including Airbus A300, A321 and A330 aircraft. The over-carpet system will replace an existing PL product fitted across Monarch’s fleet.
Paul Godfrey, Design Services Manager to Monarch, said: “SafTGlo ColorMatch OC was the ideal choice when we decided to replace our existing floorpath marking system. Safety is essential and SafTGlo offers a reliable, durable and cost-saving solution without compromising on design.”
Peter Stokes, chief executive of STG Aerospace, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Monarch as a customer and proud that they recognised the benefits of choosing SafTGlo as part of their aircraft interior.”
SafTGlo PL floorpath marking systems ‘store’ and simultaneously emit light giving highly visible emergency exit guidance for up to 16 hours in darkness, after only a short period of ‘charging’ with normal cabin lighting. The system uses STG’s patented SuperSeal™ technology, which needs virtually no maintenance, saving airlines valuable time and money while offering a reliable, essential safety system.
