NEWS & EVENTS

// STG welcomes new Chief Executive //

After a comprehensive international search STG Aerospace has announced the appointment of a new chief executive, Richard Moore. He will join the company in October 2011.

Richard comes to STG from a successful career in the aerospace products business. He has held senior management positions with a number of leading aerospace companies including Thales, Honeywell, two Rolls Royce joint venture companies and most recently at Medaire where he was Chief Executive.

His appointment enables Peter Stokes, who has led STG Aerospace’s transformation into a global market leader, to fulfil, at 65, a lifetime ambition to spend more time sailing with his wife in some of the less accessible parts of the world.

Although Peter will step down from his role as Chief Executive towards the end of 2011, he will remain active in the business both as an investor and a main board director, involved with key accounts and projects.

A Boeing Gold Supplier, and three-time Queen’s Award-winner, STG manufactures the industry-leading floorpath marking system SafTGlo™, and the award winning emergency power system WEPPS™. It has a range of new and exciting products in final aircraft trials, which maintain the company’s continued focus on reducing aircraft operating costs. STG has a long development list of innovative concepts.

Roger Llewellyn, the company’s non-executive chairman said:

“Since 1998, under Peter’s leadership, STG Aerospace has grown to become a leading innovator in aircraft emergency evacuation, power and lighting systems. We are all delighted that he will remain an integral part of the company, supporting Richard with some of our long-standing customers, and development projects.”

“This is an exciting time for the company: Richard’s extensive experience in the aerospace sector will ensure that the company’s growth will continue to be driven by its ability to innovate. Richard will lead the strong and growing team that will continue to deliver our exciting and cost effective solutions for the industry. We all look forward to working with him”
