UK-based STG Aerospace, the market leader in wireless emergency lighting systems for the airline industry, is celebrating its third Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
The award, in the International Trade category, follows two previous Queen’s Awards presented to STG Aerospace for International Trade and for Innovation. The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK's most prestigious Awards for business performance, recognising and rewarding outstanding achievement.
The 2008 award recognises STG Aerospace’s continuous achievement in international trade – export sales of STG Aerospace’s most successful innovation, the patented saf-Tglo™ photoluminescent (PL) emergency floorpath lighting system, have grown each year for the last ten years.
In the past two years sales of saf-Tglo™ climbed to record levels with the addition of STG Aerospace’s innovative ColorMatch service and the revolutionary saf-Tglo™ OC (OverCarpet) design. Peter Stokes, CEO of STG Aerospace, said: “Winning a third Queen’s Award is a great honour and I’m delighted for the whole STG Aerospace team. Success does not just happen and this award is recognition of the hard work and effort put in by our sales partners across the globe and our staff in the UK. It’s a fantastic achievement and we are thrilled.”
