Nigel Duncan, CEO of STG Aerospace, is speaking today at CabinSpace LIVE, the face-to-face arena for the exchange of information that forms part of the Aircraft Interiors Expo being held in Hamburg, Germany.
His presentation will consider why it is important to take a holistic approach to aircraft cabin lighting. The cabin of today is illuminated by an amalgam of sources: natural light, ceiling and sidewall lights, floor path and emergency signage, reading lights, galley lights and more. Each light source has historically been optimised for its specific function, with limited consideration of its interaction with the other lighting in the cabin. STG Aerospace believes it is important to understand the total interaction of all light sources to provide an integrated lighting environment, one that delivers an enhanced passenger experience, increased customer loyalty, a strong airline brand identity and the optimisation of the cabin as a retail environment while still ensuring full compliance with all safety regulations.
