Demand Planner

Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role will be responsible for coordinating demand and finished goods inventory requirements across all business units including New Product Introduction (NPI) activity.

Responsible for reporting production against plan, to meet customer delivery requirements and achieve specified KPI’s, recommending improvement actions where appropriate.

Working with the Warehouse Team Leader to ensure effective inventory management from WIP through to Despatch.

Working with Head of Operations and Production Team Leaders to manage resource planning to support current as well as potential business opportunities.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales, Supply Chain and Production teams to develop robust production plan to meet customer demand efficiently and achieve Company KPI’s
  • Lead weekly SIOP meetings to communicate operational plans and resolve any issues
  • Liaise collaboratively with Supply Chain to coordinate the timing from Suppliers and ensure outstanding delivery issues are communicated and resolved before impacting production plan or customer despatch dates.
  • Liaise collaboratively with Production and Warehousing teams to improve inventory control and minimize obsolescence.
  • Liaise collaboratively with Operations leadership team to use available data to undertake capacity analysis and forward planning assessments, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet a diversifying product portfolio, customer requirements and target stocking levels.
  • To actively participate in a range of initiatives throughout Operations designed to improve the productivity and effectiveness of the department.


Essential Requirements

  • Experience of developing Production plans to support Kanban replenishment and ad hoc customer requirements
  • Practical experience of SIOP process
  • Be able to effectively communicate with teammates across multiple departments as well as internal and intercompany customers in a professional manner both written and verbally
  • A team player who is able to liaise with others & build relationships.
  • Be able to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Be able to effectively problem solve while maintaining focus on business objectives
  • Have great organizational skills with ability to work to deadlines
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Be self-driven and motivated
