That’s exactly what happened when Amelia, a leader in bespoke aviation experiences, selected our saf-Tglo® SSUL-X11™ photoluminescent floor path marking system for its Airbus A319ER. This is the only A319ER currently operating in EMEAA region, under commercial use and available for charter.
The result? A floor path marking system that seamlessly integrates into the cabin design, enhancing the nighttime atmosphere with a refined glow that guides passengers safely, without distraction.

What was the key challenge?
Integrating photoluminescent floor path marking into a luxury cabin isn’t without its hurdles. Amelia’s unique layout with 60 seats, includes plush side carpets with underlay foam, creating uneven flooring heights. This meant the STG team carefully engineered the SSUL-X11™ system to sit flush while remaining fully visible to ensure optimal charging and performance. This required precise coordination to prevent any obstruction at the carpet edges.
STG worked closely with Amelia’s design and installation teams, meticulously overlocking carpet edges and refining transitions to ensure no detail was overlooked. In a VIP setting, these subtle refinements make all the difference. The choice of our apple green floor path marking provides a gentle pop of colour that subtly complements Amelia’s branding.

Another STG product was used in the cabin to shine down on the floor path marking. We were able to provide our liTeMood® mood lighting to further enhance the cabin aesthetic. With top and bottom integration, liTeMood® supports a consistent visual identity while enhancing passenger comfort. liTeMood® is a service proven, plug-and-play programmable lighting system which is fully interchangeable with incumbent lighting systems and designed to upgrade aircraft cabins. It requires no change to aircraft wiring or control systems. The combination of our two systems ensures cohesive lighting and safety throughout the cabin.

While the initial installation met performance requirements, Amelia is now exploring the option to fine-tune the photoluminescent tones to achieve even closer harmony with the cabin’s mood lighting.
