HUT and STG collaborate at NBAA

In August 2022, Heads Up Technologies (HUT) acquired STG Aerospace to leverage their collective cabin systems solutions across the aviation market.

NBAA is the first major industry event since the acquisition and a great opportunity to showcase latest technologies from HUT and STG to the business aviation community. They are exhibiting at NBAA on Booth 1369.

Since the acquisition, STG and HUT have actively engaged with business aviation stakeholders to combine technologies from both companies. Customers will benefit from a broader product portfolio and a much larger engineering team.

What’s new?

Narrowest ever floor path marking: Learn about saf-Tglo® SSUL-X11 – the narrowest and lightest photoluminescent floor path marking system on the market. This 11mm trim makes a significant difference to cabin aesthetics, blending into the business jet design, whilst maintaining all passenger safety requirements. Its patented Blue Glow emitting colour gives a subtle accent to the cabin in full darkness. It is already EASA approved.

STG also designs self-powered signs. Using PatternMatch™ technology, Hidden Until Needed signage provides a camouflaged solution for informational signage, where the text becomes visible only in the dark.

Universal Lighting: Drawing on STG Aerospace’s extensive experience of designing cabin lighting systems for Airbus and Boeing aircraft, STG has launched a new platform-agnostic Universal Lighting product family. Leveraging STG’s unique dynamic technology, business jet OEMs and operators can now offer a more personalised experience to passengers, with a full integration of the latest databus standards. Its first luminaire offers a very low profile in a flexible form, with unbeatable bend radius, to give cabin designers more freedom to their creativity.

To learn more about HUT and STG lighting capability for the business aviation visit them at Booth 1369 at NBAA from 18-20 October, Orlando, Florida.
