New Passenger Briefing System

At STG Aerospace, we’re proud to announce the latest advancement in in-flight safety and communication, the PBS700-50 Passenger Briefing System (PBS). Launching at AIX 2025 alongside the expansion of our eco range, we are excited to bring the next generation system from our parent company, Heads Up Technologies.
Designed by Heads Up Technologies, the newly upgraded PBS is designed to offer regional and major carriers alike, the highest quality in passenger briefings and background music. It will be the first time that STG will showcase this product to our customers, widening our offering and providing more solutions for airlines and OEMs from across the Heads Up Technologies Group.
What is special about the PBS?
The PBS700-50 is a computer-controlled, digital, multi-language briefing system designed to deliver professional passenger briefings, and background music, for a safe and enjoyable flight. It is compact yet powerful, offering seamless integration with aircraft systems.
The next-generation system provides customisable onboard messaging, including safety briefings, route updates, and boarding music, all triggered automatically based on inputs from the aircraft. This seamless integration with the flight deck reduces the workload for flight attendants, allowing them to focus on other critical aspects of the passenger service. Flight attendants can operate the PBS700-50 through an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) and keypad, designed for both capacitive touch and tactile switch navigation.
The system ensures that safety briefings are not only clear but also presented in high-quality audio, elevating the passenger experience while promoting onboard safety. It supports multiple languages, ensuring that safety briefings are delivered to passengers clearly and professionally, no matter where in the world they are flying.
One of the most significant advantages of the PBS700-50 is its lightweight, compact design, measuring just 18cm by 15cm by 5cm and weighing only 1.09kg. The system can be easily installed in both flush and surface-mount configurations, making it a versatile solution and platform agnostic. So can be used in various aircraft types, including Airbus and Boeing.
The evolution of the Passenger Briefing System
The PBS700-50 is the latest evolution in the PBS product family, building on more than 25 years of continuous development and operational experience. It is the perfect upgrade from the PBS600, designed to further enhance functionality, streamline flight crew workflows, and improve the overall passenger experience and safety.
With the PBS700-50, Heads Up Technologies has introduced an advanced solution that goes beyond just delivering announcements. Its comprehensive and user-friendly features free up flight attendants to focus on their primary duties of passenger service, without the distraction of manually triggering announcements or music changes.
How will the PBS support STG customers?
Our aim is to provide the best solutions for our customers. The PBS700-50 is an ideal choice for customers looking to upgrade from legacy Heads Up Technologies systems, as it provides an easy transition with enhanced functionality. Additionally, airlines currently using alternative systems can make the switch to an advanced product with the PBS700-50, ensuring a more seamless passenger experience and improved operational efficiency.
