The cabin of today is illuminated by an amalgam of sources: natural light, ceiling and sidewall lights, floor path and emergency signage, reading lights, galley lights and more. Each light source has historically been optimised for its specific function, with limited consideration of its interaction with the other lighting in the cabin.
